6. Election of Officers for 2026- 27:

Jonathan Davies, Jo Koscinska and Lee Harrison: All approved
7. AOB / Open Forum.
(1) Following the concern expressed earlier, it was agreed that we should further ascertain the current status of the CCTV arrangements with the Cricket Club and push for it to cover at the front area of the Club, overlooking the car park, to increase security. ACTION
(2) There had been some concern, particularly with all of the recent refurbishment work having taken place, that the broken window above the double adjoining doors between the Club and Cricket had still not been replaced. Jim has already spoken with a member of the Cricket Club; if the situation remains, it will be raised again at the Sections Meeting that Gareth Lloyd is arranging. ACTION
(3) Members who are prepared to either brush, vacuum and/or mop the squash courts, with thanks, are asked to please record this in a new log which is now located inside the left cupboard door.
(4) Club Championships - the 2 026 Club Championships were launched with a Finals Day scheduled for Saturday, 12th September.
Hoping that as many members as possible will take part this year; the entries are due to close on Friday, 12th June, with the Competitions to start the following week, on 19th June - so plenty of time to get all of the preliminary matches played.
Both the Squash and Racketball Competitions will have categories for Ladies, Men and Juniors, there will also be a Handicap Competition (details to be forwarded to members). ACTION
(5) Gareth Lloyd - we had heard that Gareth Lloyd, the BS&SC General Manager was to take retirement in twelve months (June 2027).
The meeting wished to acknowledge Gareth’s work as a “friend of the Club” since we first formed the Squash Club in 2007.
