Male toilet / shower area [First Phase] almost done.

Some good news this Christmas, the first part of the Men's Toilet / Shower area refurbishment , we're told, should be completed by early this Wednesday morning (possibly later on Tuesday) and fully available to use.

First part ? Yes - in the new year we hope that the Cricket Club will achieve grant support from Cricket Wales and the ECB (English Cricket Board) for all of those areas that we’re currently seeking to refurbish !

This new grant happens to be specific to the shower / toilet areas of cricket clubs.

We're given to understand they are minded to offer this grant aid but, subject to some safeguarding compliance matters being resolved. If approved, this will then require some further works to be undertaken in both the Men's and Ladies areas.

Plans have, therefore, been amended and extended to ensure all aspects of the areas are safeguarding compliant; an important condition of the grant being approved.

Further news is likely to be in February - but, if successful, the outcome will offer a huge improvement for both the Squash and Cricket Clubs and, importantly, the facilities will fully meet the Governing Body's safeguarding regulations..

Members will be kept up to date with developments.
